If you want to keep track of what people are saying on IndyScribe, we have a new comments feed you can subscribe to via your newsreader. We're lucky enough to have a lot of great regulars who drop by and give us the heads up on things we've written about, and there are lots of city residents who love living here as much as we do who contribute.
And, of course we've had a regular syndication feed for quite a while, too.

Our hosting service includes a utility that not only tracks our traffic numbers but also in-bound search terms. Below is a list of the top ten terms that brought people to IndyScribe over the past year.
1) Resturants
I grouped all of these together, otherwise restaurants would be 1/2 of this list. You people must really be hungry?
2) Keystone Art Cinema
New seven-screen cinema that shows indie and art films.
3) Fivebuckclub
Part of the joy in participating with IndyScribe is picking up on tips
like this from the other authors. This is one of those gems.
4) Sammy Terry
Indiana's own spooky-man. If you know Sammy, I'd be forever grateful if
you could help me set up an interview with him.
5) Brokeback Mountain Indianapolis
Our movie review of last year's movie based on Annie Proulx's short story.
6) Diagram of a Heart
Part of a longer article detailing Steph's open heart surgery.
7) Lord of the Rings Indianapolis
Write up of last year's exhibit. You'll need to buddy up with a kiwi if you still want to check it out.
8) Tony Kiritsis
Disgruntled man attempts to solve his problems with a loaded shotgun.
9) Pinheads Fishers
A twist on a favorite American pastime.
10) Irvington Halloween Festival
Who can resist a good ghost story?

Q. Do you accept guest authors?
Yes. We give chosen contributors a thirty day run as a Guest Author. We decided on the 30 day run in order to bring in other guests on a regular basis and to try to keep things interesting. It doesn't mean that we would never ask someone to be a Guest Author again after the 30 days were up.

Circle City, the Crossroads of America, Naptown... whatever you call it, it's Indianapolis and it's where we live. We created this web log to write about it, so we can share the interesting, fun, quirky, tasty, ugly, or unusual aspects of the 12th largest city in the United States (take that, Jacksonville, FL).

Indianapolis is the 12th largest city in the U.S., and is home to 810,000 residents in the city proper, with 1.5 million residents in the greater metropolitan area. Despite this, when you hear a movie is "opening in 20 cities around the country" you can bet Indy isn't one of them. And it kinda pisses us off.
